Intermittent Fasting

Practiced by different cultures and religious groups around the world for health and spiritual benefit for centuries, intermittent fasting is a diet strategy that alternates between periods of fasting (either no food at all or reduced caloric consumption) and periods of unrestricted eating.

Intermittent fasting has been shown to promote a beneficial cellular process known as autophagy and even increases anti-aging/longevity by increasing growth hormone and reducing risk of chronic metabolic diseases and even cancer. Research has been shown that such temporary calorie-restricted eating patterns can give your body a chance to “reboot” and heal especially when dealing with chronic inflammatory conditions like asthma, allergies and inflammatory bowel disease, and can reduce inflammatory blood markers like CRP.
